Machado to Appear at McNerney Fundraiser
Long-time environmental activist Mike Eaton and his wife Charity Kenyon are hosting a fundraiser for Jerry McNerney on Sunday, August 27, 4 pm - 7 pm, at their ranch outside of Galt. Headlining the event will be State Senator Mike Machado and Sacramento Mayor Heather Fargo. The bill of fare will include light refreshments and ice cream. Charity Kenyon has quite a reputation as a star lawyer, see this web page. I assume this is the same person, as how many Charity Kenyons could there be in the area?
Also, it is quite significant that State Sen. Mike Machado and Sac Mayor Heather Fargo will be headlining this event. That is pretty mainstream Dem. Pombo must be quite vulnerable and they must see Jerry has a good chance of winning to give him this support.
Hey, Pombo, take a hint from your buddies Tom DeLay and Bob Ney, and retire to the ranch. The culture of corruption that has raised you up is crumbling under your feet. You can't hide from your record of shady dealings and "envelopes in the hallway".
In your religion (Catholicism), Greed is one of the seven deadly sins. Greed and Pride -- those will be your downfall, as they have for so many others.
I just hope you don't spend too many years in jail and miss the kids growing up. I guess they can still visit you once or twice a month.
Or maybe you will get off with community service and have to spend many hours planting trees and cleaning up beaches. Now that would be justice!
